PLACE

The land is on the high part of a mountain, with altitudes that vary from 1070 m to 1300m, and half of its boundaries are in ridge, in a rich area of sources.

Half of its area is constituted of Atlantic Forest with a great variety of trees as the jacaranda, cedar, ipê and canjerana. The fauna is abundant with the presence of monkeys sauá, dogs of the bush, cotias, hedgehogs and a great variety of birds as the seriema, the wading bird, toucans.

CLIMATE

Due to the altitude and to the fact of being in a very southern position of the Mountains of Mantiqueira, the climate is extremely pleasant. In summer, the days are mild, with temperatures that never surpass 30ºC and fresh nights. In winter, the days are beautiful and the nights are so wonderful that you can clearly observe the Via Lactea. In winter the temperature can fall up to 1ºC, but due to the altitude the occurrence of frosts is not frequent.
